Boho Bungalow Foster Dogs: How It All Began

If you’ve ever visited Boho Bungalow, you already know—our shops have a way of attracting good humans, good vibes, and lots of love. What many people don’t know is that our journey into fostering dogs didn’t start as a grand plan. It started with one scruffy little soul named Brody.

Brody belonged to someone in our local community who needed to enter drug and alcohol rehabilitation. As he took the brave step to get his life back on track, I volunteered to care for his dog so Brody wouldn’t end up in a shelter. I had no idea at the time how much that one “yes” would change everything.

Brody quickly became part of our daily rhythm. He came to the shop with me, greeted customers, and soaked up all the love from our Boho family. What surprised me most was how many people immediately wanted to help—customers would ask, “Is he available for adoption?” or “If he ever needs a home, please call me.” It opened my eyes to how incredible our community is, and how many people want to rescue, foster, and support animals in need.

After Brody, it felt natural to keep going. I connected with Compassion Without Borders and other rescue partners, fostering pups who needed a soft landing on their way to forever homes. Each dog has come with their own story—some heartbreaking, some hopeful—but all of them have brought so much joy and purpose into our world at Boho Bungalow.

Now fostering is simply part of who we are. It’s woven into the spirit of our shops just like our candles, fragrances, and boho treasures. When you shop with us, love on our foster pups, share their stories, or help them find a family—you become part of their journey too.

This little corner of the world we’ve built is proof that community can change lives, wagging tails included.
