Boho Bungalow is a home decor and gift boutique founded by Faith Parker in 2012, with three stores: Occidental on the Bohemian Highway, downtown Petaluma in Sonoma County, and Paia on Maui's north shore.
We're home of Bohemian Botanicals, our in-house line of hand-poured soy wax candles, room sprays, body lotion, and home fragrance. At our Petaluma flagship we host candle making classes, candle pouring workshops, and private group bookings — one of the most-loved things to do in Petaluma for date nights, team events, and parties.

The first Boho Bungalow on the Bohemian Highway, Occidental — 2012
From a pickup truck to three stores.
I opened the first Boho Bungalow in 2012 in a little spot along the Bohemian Highway in Occidental, California. It started as a vintage shop called Vintage By Design — I'd find pieces at estate sales, fix them up in my garage, and reinvest every dollar back into inventory. Slowly, it became something else: a place that felt like a place with a soul.
Today, Boho Bungalow has three locations. The original on the Bohemian Highway in Occidental. A second that opened in downtown Petaluma in 2019. And our newest, in Paia on Maui's north shore, which opened in 2024.

Three stores, three towns.
Each store has its own personality, its own scents poured in the back, and its own reason for being there.
Occidental
The original. The store that started it all in 2012 — and the reason we're called Boho Bungalow in the first place. Boho comes from the Bohemian Highway, the winding road through the redwoods that this shop still sits on.
Petaluma
Our largest store and our flagship. The candle classes happen here, the candle bar lives here, and most days you'll find Faith somewhere between the front door and the back studio.
Paia, Maui
Our smallest store, on the Road to Hana. A long-circle story: Faith first moved to Paia in 1995 as a 17-year-old wanderluster. Twenty-nine years later, Boho Bungalow opened its doors a few streets from where she started.

In each shop, you'll find home decor, gifts, jewelry, and our in-house line of hand-poured soy candles and home fragrance — Bohemian Botanicals.
Here's the part we're proud of: every Bohemian Botanicals candle, room spray, body lotion, reed diffuser, and perfume is made in the store that sells it. The candles in our Occidental shop are poured in Occidental. The candles in Petaluma are poured in Petaluma. The candles in Paia are poured in Paia. Same recipes, made by hand, in small batches, in the town you're standing in.
Most candle brands ship from a warehouse. We don't. When you light a Bohemian Botanical candle from our Paia store, it was made on Maui. When you take one home from Petaluma, a person on Kentucky Street poured it. That hyper-local thing matters to us. It's why we make our own line in the first place.

Every Boho Bungalow store carries our in-house Bohemian Botanicals line — hand-poured soy candles, room sprays, body lotion, reed diffusers, and perfume rollerballs — alongside a tight, well-edited selection of home decor and gifts.
If you've heard about us, you've probably heard about the pillows. Throw pillows are what we're best known for, and our walls of them are reason enough to drive into Petaluma or up to Occidental. After that, in no particular order: a really good earring case, coffee mugs you'll want to drink your Monday out of, wall decor for the spot above the couch you've been staring at for two years, and local jewelry from makers we love.

When was Boho Bungalow founded?
Boho Bungalow was founded in 2012 by Faith Parker in Occidental, California, on the Bohemian Highway. We added a second store in downtown Petaluma in 2019 and a third in Paia, Maui in 2024.

Yes. We ship the full Bohemian Botanicals line — soy wax candles, room sprays, body lotion, reed diffusers, perfume — anywhere in the United States, with free shipping on orders over $75. For Maui-specific scents and products from the Paia store, shop the Paia website separately.

Bohemian Botanicals is the in-house product line by Boho Bungalow — hand-poured soy wax candles, room sprays, body lotion, reed diffusers, and perfume rollerballs. Everything is made in small batches by hand in the store that sells it.
Where are your candles made?
Every Bohemian Botanicals candle is hand-poured in soy wax in the store that sells it. The candles in Occidental are poured by Jessica Condello, who also heads up visual merchandising. The Petaluma candles are poured by founder Faith Parker. And the Paia, Maui candles are poured by co-owner Katherine Mann. Most candle brands ship from a warehouse — we don't.
Do you offer candle making classes?
Yes. We host candle making classes at our Petaluma flagship on Kentucky Street. Each class is just over two hours, costs $64 per person, and you'll pour your own soy wax candle, pick your scents, and walk out with a candle that's actually yours. Book a spot on the class page. We also host private candle pouring classes for parties, team building, bridal showers, and corporate events.
Where is the best place in Petaluma to buy a gift?
We have to be a little careful answering this one — but we did just get named one of three finalists for "Best Place to Shop for a Gift" in the 2026 Argus Courier People's Choice awards, so we're trying. The Petaluma store at 143 Kentucky St carries gifts under $40, a curated jewelry case (cute earrings are kind of our thing), throw pillows we're best known for, coffee mugs, wall decor, and the full Bohemian Botanicals candle and home fragrance line. We're open seven days a week: Monday and Tuesday 11–5, Wednesday through Sunday 11–6.
